Florida Craftsmen, Inc. is a statewide non-profit service organization founded in 1952 that plays an important role in the vitality of crafts in communities throughout Florida.

Florida Craftsmen's mission is to broaden the public's understanding and appreciation of fine craft art and to encourage professionalism and high aesthetic standards among Florida's craft artists.

Florida Craftsmen programs are supported in part by the State of Florida, Division of Cultural Affairs through the Florida Arts Council; the City of St. Petersburg; the Pinellas County Commission through the Pinellas County Arts Council and the Arts Council of Hillsborough County.

Some of our membership benefits include a 10 percent discount on gallery purchases; invitations to all opening receptions and special events; participation in our slide registry, library, statewide conference and workshops; eligibility in the critically-acclaimed statewide exhibition; and if an artist, the opportunity for your work to be considered for exhibition and sale in the Florida Craftsmen Gallery and the opportunity to exhibit in our holiday member’s show.

Membership is open to all including artists, crafts persons, teachers, students, collectors, institutions, and those who simply enjoy the beauty of handmade objects.
